The two-finger scroll is a common gesture that can be utilized in a wide variety of contexts. You can use it to navigate long lists or web pages with ease. How do you scroll with two fingers?
In order to scroll up or down on a touchscreen device, users can make the “two-finger scroll” gesture. Simply tap and drag your fingers up or down the screen will accomplish this. How much you scroll will be determined by how far you drag your fingertips. There are a few things to examine if you are unable to use a two-finger scroll on your device.
- Verify that you can scroll with two fingers.
- Navigate to Preferences > Devices > Touchpad. Select Drag two fingers to scroll from Scroll and zoom and turn it on.
- Start your machine back up.
- A computer restart may be all that’s needed to solve a minor problem. If the two-finger scroll stops working, try restarting the computer.
- Start the Windows error-checking utility.
The Windows troubleshooter is a useful tool for locating and fixing PC issues. The troubleshooter can be launched by selecting Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters from the main menu. Click the Troubleshoot button under Hardware and Devices.
- You should probably reset the touchpad.
- Navigate to Settings > Devices > Touchpad to restore factory defaults for the touchpad. Simply select Reset under that heading. Your touchpad’s settings will be restored to their factory defaults.
