In Lahore, a signing ceremony for the PSL 7 partnership deal between The Bank of Punjab and Lahore Qalandars was placed. Mr. Zafar Masud, President & CEO of the Bank of Punjab, and Mr. Atif Rana, CEO of the Lahore Qalandars, signed the deal.
Mr. Zafar Masud remarked that cricket has now achieved the level of culture in Pakistan and evokes strong emotions among the people. He stated that the Lahore Qalandars are not only his favorite team, but also the preferred team of the majority of cricket fans.
He also stated that in order to further pique interest in the league, a new product will be introduced that will benefit both organizations. The goal of this collaboration, he explained, is to promote healthy behaviors.
He also stated that if the team wins the PSL 7 league, the players will receive a special prize of Rs. 10 million in addition to the sponsorship. Mr. Atif Rana, CEO of the Lahore Qalandars, emphasized that this is not a short-term alliance, but rather the start of a long-term relationship.
He stated that luck has not been on the Lahore Qalandars’ side in past seasons, but that the remarkable persona of CEO and President BOP Mr. Zafar Masud will bring good fortune to the team, and that his vision will lead PSL 7 to new heights.
While expressing his gratitude, he stated that this is a significant day in his life because he began his professional career as a banker and now sits alongside Pakistan’s top banker, which makes him quite pleased.
Mohammad Hafeez, a former captain of the Pakistan cricket team and a senior player for the Lahore Qalandars, spoke at the event and stated that the collaboration between the two organizations will provide outstanding results and provide new chances for the country’s youth.
Shaheen Shah Afridi’s captaincy of the Lahore Qalandars, he added, is a perfect opportunity for him to demonstrate his leadership abilities. Senior executives from both organizations were present for the signing event.
