The Saudi Arabia tourist visa for Pakistan just got a lot easier to get. Saudi Arabia launched a new Package Visa on July 7, 2026, and Pakistan is one of only seven countries picked for the first phase. Instead of visiting a visa center, gathering papers separately, and waiting days for approval, Pakistani travelers can now book flights, a hotel, and their tourist visa all in one digital package and get the visa within 48 hours.

What Is the Saudi Arabia Package Visa for Pakistan?

Saudi Arabia’s official tourism body, the Saudi Tourism Authority, announced the Package Visa as a fully digital initiative. It is a joint effort by Saudi Arabia’s ministries of Tourism, Foreign Affairs, and Interior, plus the Insurance Authority.

The idea is simple. Saudi Arabia tourist visa Pakistan applicants no longer need to go through multiple steps. Instead, they buy one approved travel package from a certified provider, and everything is bundled together.

  • An electronic tourist visa
  • Return flight tickets
  • Accommodation in a licensed hotel
  • Optional add-ons such as entertainment events and activities
  • Travel insurance

Once payment is confirmed, the electronic visa is sent within 48 hours. The whole process is digital, so no embassy visit or biometric center appointment is needed under this new path.

Which Countries Are Included?

The pilot covers seven countries in the first phase. Pakistan sits alongside India, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Egypt, Jordan, and Mexico. This is a significant recognition of Pakistan’s large travel community that regularly visits the Kingdom for tourism, family visits, and religious purposes.

Key Details Pakistani Travelers Need to Know

Here are the most important numbers and rules for the Saudi Arabia tourist visa Pakistan Package Visa:

  • Visa type: Single-entry tourist visa, valid for three months from the date of issue
  • Minimum stay: Two days
  • Maximum stay: Up to 88 days
  • Starting price: SAR 4,000 per adult for a two-day package, with SAR 1,000 for each extra day
  • Visa fee included: SAR 402 within the package price
  • Visa issued in: 48 hours after payment
  • Available through: Approved travel and tourism service providers only, not directly from the government portal

Travelers can add events, tourism experiences, and other activities on top of the base package for extra fees.

The Bigger Picture: How Saudi Visa Rules Changed for Pakistanis

The Package Visa is good news, but Pakistani travelers should also understand the broader shift that happened in early 2025. Before February 2025, Pakistanis could get a one-year multiple-entry visit visa that allowed stays of up to 90 days per trip. That option is now gone.

Since February 2025, the standard Saudi Arabia tourist visa for Pakistan has been a single-entry visa valid for 30 days. Saudi Arabia made this change for Pakistani citizens and 13 other nationalities to reduce visa misuse and prevent unauthorized Hajj travel. So if you are not using the Package Visa route, you need to apply for a fresh visa every time you travel.

It is also worth knowing that tourist, family visit, and business visas for Pakistani citizens are temporarily suspended each year during the Hajj season, typically from mid-April to mid-June. Plan your trip outside this window to avoid delays.

The Standard Route: Tasheer Centers Still Apply

If you choose not to use the Package Visa route, the regular process for getting a Saudi Arabia tourist visa from Pakistan still goes through Tasheer, the official Saudi visa facilitation service in Pakistan. Pakistani citizens are not eligible for the direct e-visa that citizens of 66 other countries can use online.

At a Tasheer center, you submit your documents in person and give your biometrics (fingerprints and a photograph). Centers are open in Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Quetta, and Multan. Processing takes around 7 to 14 working days.

There is also a shortcut for Pakistani passport holders who hold a valid US, UK, or Schengen visa that has been used at least once. These applicants can apply directly through the Saudi e-visa portal without visiting a center.

Standard Visa Documents Checklist

  • Original passport valid for at least 6 months with at least two blank pages
  • Two recent passport-size photos with a white background
  • Copy of CNIC
  • Hotel booking confirmation
  • Return flight ticket
  • Bank statement showing at least $750 in monthly credits, consistent over 3 to 6 months (roughly PKR 210,000 per month)
  • Polio and MMR vaccination card
  • Completed Enjaz registration form (filled by the visa center)

Enjaz registration is mandatory for all visitors entering Saudi Arabia on a visit visa. The visa center staff handle this on your behalf, but you must confirm the details before signing.

Why This Matters for Pakistani Travelers

Pakistan has one of the largest Pakistani diaspora communities in Saudi Arabia, and millions of Pakistanis travel there every year for Umrah, tourism, and family visits. The Package Visa is a genuine step forward. It removes the need to collect documents separately, book services one by one, and then wait at a visa center. For someone planning a leisure trip to Riyadh, Jeddah, or Al-Ula, booking everything in one place and getting a visa in two days instead of two weeks is a real improvement.

Economic experts quoted in local media say the initiative is also expected to strengthen tourism links between the two countries. Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 programme has set ambitious tourism targets, and markets like Pakistan are central to that plan.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I still apply for a Saudi Arabia tourist visa without buying a travel package?

Yes. The Package Visa is a new additional option, not a replacement. Most Pakistani applicants still apply through Tasheer visa centers in the six main cities. If you hold a valid US, UK, or Schengen visa used at least once, you can also apply online through the Saudi e-visa portal.

Is the Saudi Arabia Package Visa a multiple-entry visa?

No. The Package Visa grants a single-entry tourist visa valid for three months, with a stay of between two and 88 days. Multiple-entry tourist visas for Pakistani passport holders are no longer available as of February 2025.

Are Umrah and Hajj visas affected by these tourist visa changes?

No. Umrah and Hajj visas are handled through a completely separate process and are not affected by the new tourist visa rules. For Umrah, Pakistani travelers apply through a registered Umrah agent or through the official Nusuk app.

What bank balance do I need for a standard Saudi tourist visa from Pakistan?

Pakistani applicants must show a bank statement with at least $750 in monthly credits, which is roughly PKR 210,000 per month. This balance should be consistent over three to six months before your application date.
