Samsung unveiled its first Matter-enabled product, a new SmartThings hub.
At this year’s CES, Samsung unveiled new QD-OLED TVs and a 57-inch 8K gaming display, as well as the 2023 Freestyle projector and new Bespoke smart appliances.
During the company’s keynote, it also discussed in detail the new features and upgrades to its products, such as a new wash cycle for washing machines that can reduce microplastic pollution.
SmartThings Workspace, which allows you to connect to linked devices remotely, and SmartThings Pet Care were also discussed.
To keep your dogs entertained, Samsung’s pet service can send you alerts when they bark and play a show or video on a connected display.
It also allows the brand’s robot vacuum’s camera to recognize dogs and cats. Furthermore, Samsung unveiled the latest SmartThings hub, the smallest yet.
The SmartThings Station has a button that allows you to programme smart lights, air conditioners, and other home devices such as smart blinds.
It is the first Samsung product to include built-in Matter support, allowing it to communicate with Matter-enabled devices from other manufacturers.
The latest Samsung smart TVs can now sync with Philips Hue Lights for immersive lighting effects.
The Knox Matrix, the company’s security solution that acts as your private blockchain system for its smart home devices, was also discussed.
Finally, Samsung demonstrated the in-cabin car technology it developed in collaboration with Harmon, as well as a new display technology called Relumino mode, which can assist people with low vision in seeing images more clearly.
