The management of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has decided to purchase engines for its Airbus A320 aircraft fleet, according to a local news agency on Monday.
PIA To Purchase 6 or More Fuel-Efficient A320 Engines
In addition, the airline advertised for the purchase of six or more fuel-efficient and low-capacity engines for the A320 fleet.
By November 13, the companies could submit leasing and procurement proposals to the PIA’s GM Contract Supply Management Department.
Ministry of Religious Affairs Handed Over a Rs. 550 Million Cheque
Furthermore, the national flag carrier received Rs 550 million from the Ministry of Religious Affairs in Islamabad on Wednesday.
The Ministry’s representative handed over a cheque for Rs 550 million to the national airline, successfully resolving a payment dispute that had persisted due to the Ministry’s lack of a Secretary.
For a time, the payment dispute went unresolved because the position of Secretary in the Ministry of Religious Affairs was vacant.
However, the Ministry had previously disbursed 95% of the funds designated for the Hajj operation, leaving a 5% payment outstanding.
