Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) operated 52 flights on Thursday, despite the fact that two of its foreign flights — one from Islamabad to Jeddah and the other from Lahore to Kuala Lumpur — were delayed.
PIA Resumes Flight Operations
PIA said that its flight operations, which had been disrupted owing to a fuel supply block, had been restored, and that it had planned 48 flights for Friday.
32 of the 48 flights will fly on foreign destinations, while 16 will be on domestic ones According to an official, Thursday was a routine day with 52 flights.
Delayed International Flights
However, two international flights were delayed: one from Islamabad to Jeddah was delayed for roughly one hour and 15 minutes, while another from Lahore to Kuala Lumpur was delayed for one hour and 45 minutes.
He stated that PIA’s flight operations have returned to normal, as there were no flight cancellations on Thursday owing to fuel supply or any other reason.
According to the spokesman, the flight schedule is back to normal following the arrangement of funds for fuel provision.
Focus on Smooth International Flight Operations
According to the spokesman, the national carrier’s major focus remains on providing smooth flight operations on key international routes including as Toronto, Saudi Arabia, Istanbul, Kuala Lumpur, and Dubai.
Efforts are also being made to gradually restore stability on domestic flight routes.
According to a representative, the airline apologized for any difficulties caused by recent flight disruptions. He stated that PIA was effective in obtaining funding from internal sources.
