According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), another severe heatwave is expected to hit much of the country.
Day temperatures are expected to stay extremely high in most regions of the nation over the next 4-5 days, according to the latest PMD alert.
During this time, temperatures in Islamabad, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Sindh, and Eastern Balochistan would be above normal.
During this time, dust storms and dust-raising winds are expected to hit these areas throughout the afternoon and evening.
According to a PMD spokeswoman, dry periods and hot temperatures would inflict water stress on standing crops, vegetables, and orchards across the country.
The spokesman urged people to take the appropriate measures to avoid heatstroke during this time and to avoid undue exposure to direct sunshine.
Fortunately, the hot wave will be followed by a major rainstorm in the upper and central sections of the nation, according to the spokeswoman.
People are advised to stay homes in the afternoons and avoid the direct contact with sunlight. And consume foods that prevent from heatwave and drink as much water as possible. Keep ORS in use and try to wear summer friendly colours.
