France did the most rejecting. Comoros had the most rejections at 61%.

Greece also had a high rejection rate. They rejected 56.4% of applications from people in other countries, especially for Norway.
People from smaller countries had higher rejection rates. This was true even if they didn’t send many applications.
Africa and Asia had the most rejections.

- Officials said no to 49.6% of Pakistan’s 86,700 applications.
- Ghana had a 47.6% rate of visa applications rejected.
- Mali had 46.1% of its applications denied.
- Other countries with a lot of rejections were Syria at 46%
- Guinea at 43.7%
- Bangladesh at 43.3%,
- And Sudan at 42.3%
This was the highest number of rejections worldwide.
The numbers showed that countries that aren’t very big had more applications rejected.

This trend hurt many countries in Africa and Asia the most. They had big problems when they wanted to get Schengen visas.
The information showed clear things about visa rejections. Schengen offices said ‘Rejected’ to more applications from these areas a lot.
