The Pakistan Investor Summit 2026, its 13th edition, brought startups and investors together in Karachi for two days of pitching, networking, and deal-making. Organised by the National Incubation Center Karachi (NIC Karachi), the event was held at ITCN Asia, one of Pakistan’s biggest technology expos. Four Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were signed, and startups from NIC Karachi’s latest cohorts got direct access to local and global investors.
Pakistan Investor Summit 2026: What Happened
The summit ran over two days. On day one, startups from NIC Karachi Cohort 14 and Cohort 15 pitched their ideas to a panel of investors. These were one-on-one sessions where founders could talk privately with investors and get detailed feedback. This kind of face-to-face time is rare and very useful for early-stage startups looking for funding.
Day two moved to the ITCN Asia venue, which drew a larger crowd of technology leaders, business people, and ecosystem stakeholders from Pakistan and abroad. The programme included an Investor Fireside Chat, where experienced investors shared their views on Pakistan’s investment climate. Six startups also took part in a Startup Showcase, presenting their businesses to the audience.
Four MoUs Signed to Support Startups
A key highlight of the Pakistan Investor Summit was the signing of four MoUs. NIC Karachi signed agreements with these partners:
- Saleh Kamel Sustainable Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Development Organization (SKSEED)
- Karachi Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KWCCI) Korangi
- UK Pakistan Tech Forum
- Commonwealth Entrepreneurs Forum
These partnerships are meant to give startups better access to mentorship, industry connections, and learning opportunities. Connecting Pakistani entrepreneurs with international networks like the UK Pakistan Tech Forum is an important step for the local startup scene.
Global Speakers Shared Big Ideas
The summit featured speakers from Pakistan and around the world. Notable names included Baybars Altuntas, Chairman of the World Business Angels Investment Forum (WBAF), and Areiel Wolanow, Managing Director of Finserv Experts. Kashif Ul Haque, Country Head of Cisco Pakistan, also joined the event. Their presence brought international experience to conversations about investment, fintech, and digital growth in Pakistan.

What Leaders Said
Syed Azfar Hussain, Project Director at NIC Karachi, spoke about the summit’s importance. He said, “The Pakistan Investor Summit reflects our continued commitment to building a strong and connected investment ecosystem in Pakistan. By creating structured opportunities for engagement between startups and investors, we are not only helping access to capital but also enabling knowledge exchange, mentorship, and long-term partnerships.”
The event closed with remarks from Zameer Abbas, Secretary IT of Gilgit-Baltistan. He stressed the need for government, industry, investors, academia, and entrepreneurs to work together to grow Pakistan’s technology and innovation sector.
Why This Matters for Pakistan’s Startups
The Pakistan Investor Summit is one of the few events in Pakistan that gives startups a real chance to meet serious investors in a structured way. With growing interest from international partners, events like this help put Pakistani startups on the global map. The MoUs signed this year show that both local and international organisations see potential in Pakistan’s innovation ecosystem.
For startups looking to raise funding or expand, platforms like the Pakistan Investor Summit offer a path to connect with the right people and build the partnerships needed to grow.
