OnePlus, the Chinese smartphone giant, has started rolling out December Android security patch for the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7T series handsets. The latest update for the OnePlus 7, OnePlus 7 Pro, OnePlus 7T, and OnePlus 7T Pro comes with firmware version OxygenOS 11.0.5.1, and is based on Android 11. OnePlus took it to the OnePlus Community forum to make an announcement for the same. Let us take a closer look at the changes that the update brings for OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7T series users,
OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7T Series OxygenOS 11.0.5.1 Update Changelog,
OnePlus, with the latest update, has fixed the issue because of which users were not able to send and receive media files through the WhatsApp app. Apart from it, the update also brings the latest December 2021 Android security patch and improves overall system stability. As per the community forum post, the OnePlus 7 users in Europe are receiving OxygenOS 11.0.5.1.GM57BA update in Europe. Whereas, the handset users in other global regions are getting OxygenOS 11.0.5.1.GM57AA update. Similarly, the update for OnePlus 7T users in Europe comes with firmware version OxygenOS 11.0.5.1.GM21BA. While the OnePlus 7T update carries firmware version OxygenOS 11.0.5.1.GM21AA in other regions.
OnePlus 7T users in India and other global regions are getting an update with version OxygenOS 11.0.5.1.HD65AA. While the same update is rolling out with firmware version OxygenOS 11.0.5.1.HD65BA for OnePlus 7T in Europe.
As far as OnePlus 7T Pro is concerned, European users are receiving an update with version OxygenOS 11.0.5.1.HD65BA. Whereas, OnePlus 7T Pro users in India and other global regions are getting OxygenOS 11.0.5.1.HD01AA update.
OnePlus has confirmed that the rollout is incremental, which means the update is available only for select users for now. We can expect the brand to roll out the update widely in the coming weeks. OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7T series devices are eligible to get Android 12 based OxygenOS 12 update. However, the brand is yet to kickoff beta testing for the same.
