A rainwater pathway has been discovered beneath Merewether Clock Tower on I.I. Chundrigar road, according to the information that has been uncovered so far. When Mayor Murtaza Wahab of Karachi got the news, he didn’t waste any time getting there to take a look at its current state.
Mayor gives statement about the discovered drain
According to statements made by the Mayor of Karachi, this structure is a natural rainfall pathway that was constructed during the time of the British. The Mayor also mentioned that this structure will now be connected to the Hijrat Colony and the city’s main drains. Murtaza Wahab stated that the work that is being done on this pathway will be finished within a month. In the meantime, the process of cleaning other drains in the city is also currently continuing.
