The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has announced that all its offices across Pakistan will remain closed on Sunday, November 9, 2025. This closure is in line with the federal government’s decision to observe Allama Iqbal Day as a public holiday. The decision applies to all NADRA branches, including regional and local offices across the nation.
Operations to Resume on November 10
According to the official notice, NADRA offices that operate around the clock will also suspend their services for the holiday. These offices will be closed from midnight on November 8 to 9. Normal operations are scheduled to resume on Monday, November 10, 2025, at 8:00 a.m., ensuring that citizens can once again access all services without delay.
Online Services Remain Functional
Despite the physical offices being closed, NADRA has assured the public that its digital platforms will remain available during the holiday. Citizens can use the Pak ID mobile app to apply for new identity cards, renew existing ones, or track their applications. This step helps ensure convenience and continuity for people who rely on NADRA’s online services.

Encouraging Digital Accessibility for Citizens
NADRA’s decision to maintain online services reflects its commitment to improving accessibility and digital transformation. By offering the Pak ID mobile app and online portals, NADRA allows citizens to complete necessary documentation from the comfort of their homes. This initiative supports the government’s broader efforts to promote e-governance and reduce the need for in-person visits.
Public Response to the Announcement
Many citizens have appreciated NADRA’s timely announcement, allowing them to plan their visits accordingly. The observance of Allama Iqbal Day serves as a tribute to the national poet, while NADRA’s proactive approach ensures minimal disruption to public services. With the combination of scheduled closure and ongoing online access, NADRA continues to balance tradition with modern efficiency.
