The Moto G13 debuted earlier this year with a 720p display, which may not be the most desirable feature, but Motorola is now addressing this shortcoming with the new G14, which is also affordable.
Moto G13 Features
- Display and Design
The Motorola Moto G14 has a much-appreciated 6.5-inch 1080p display with a 20:9 aspect ratio, which is a significant improvement over its predecessor.

This is built around an IPS LCD panel, but it only has a 60Hz refresh rate (compared to the G13’s 90Hz, but this is a trade-off we’re willing to accept).
- Software and Internals
The rest of the phone’s specifications remain largely unchanged. The G14 is powered by a 12nm Unisoc T616 chipset with 2x Cortex-A75 cores clocked at 2.0GHz and 6x A55 cores clocked at 1.8GHz.
In addition, it has a Mali-G57 MP1 GPU. These specifications are very similar to the Helio G85 found in the Moto G13.
It comes pre-installed with Android 13, and there is only one configuration available, which includes 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. A microSD card can also be used to increase storage capacity.
- Cameras
The camera setup remains the same, with a single rear camera (along with a depth sensor) and a 50MP Quad Pixel sensor. The native pixel size is 0.64m, but binning increases it to 1.28m.

There is also an 8MP front-facing camera (with a pixel size of 1.12m). Both the front and rear cameras are capable of recording 1080p video at 30 frames per second.
- Pricing and Battery
The phone has a 5,000 mAh battery that can last up to 94 hours of music playback or 16 hours of video playback. It can be charged at up to 15W using the included 20W charger, which is a minor improvement over the G13.
For the time being, the Motorola Moto G14 is only available in India, but it is very reasonably priced at $122. It is unknown when this model will be available on the international market.
