The Haval H6 HEV (Hybrid Electric Vehicle) has been officially introduced in Pakistan by Sazgar Engineering Works Limited (SEWL). As a result, SEWL is the first business to introduce a domestically built hybrid car in our nation.
SEWL was already assembling the 1.5L and 2.0L Haval H6 models with conventional gasoline engines domestically. The 1.5L turbocharged engine from the hybrid version is coupled with an electric motor to provide a mind-boggling 530 Nm of torque in addition to 240 horsepower. The front wheels receive power from the 2-speed specialized hybrid gearbox from Haval (DHT).
The Haval H6 HEV, according to the manufacturer, can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in around 7.5 seconds, but the peak speed is electronically limited to 180 km/h to protect the battery and electric motor.
Highlights on the exterior include a motorized tailgate, 19-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, taillights, and DRLs. A 12.3-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual-zone auto AC with rear vents, an electrically adjustable heated rear-view mirror, key-less & smart entry, an electronic parking brake, power windows with one-click lifting & anti-pinch function, and a panoramic sunroof are all included inside. The multi-function steering wheel also has paddle shifters.
There are six airbags, traction control, ABS with EBD and BA, ESP, second collision mitigation (SCM), cornering brake control (CBC), hill descent control (HDC), hill start assist control (HSC), front radar, autonomous parking, blind sport detection (BSD), lane change assist (LCA), emergency lane keeping (ELK), intelligent dodge, and event data recorder among the safety features (EDR).
Haval H6 HEV’s pricing is Rs. 9,749,000, and it may be reserved for Rs. 1,900,000. The Toyota Corolla Cross hybrid, a CBU import with prices starting at Rs 12,249,000 and up to Rs 13,419,000, is one of the competitors for the H6 HEV. The H6 is priced at almost Rs 36.7 lac cheaper than the top-spec Corolla Cross model. According to Toyota, the locally produced Corolla Cross will be released the next year and will be less expensive than the CBU models.
