The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has mandated summer breaks for all public and private educational institutions in the province in an effort to lessen the challenges experienced by students and staff due to the extreme heat.
The KP Elementary and Secondary Education Department announced the decision, which intends to give the education community a much-needed break during the extreme heat wave.
Schedule of Summer Vacations
Primary schools that fall under the summer zone will be closed from June 1 through August 31, according to an official announcement.
Similar closures will be observed by middle/high schools and upper secondary institutions in the same zone beginning on June 15 and lasting until August 31.
Additionally, from July 1 through July 31, all elementary, middle/high, and higher secondary schools located in the winter zone will be closed.
Parents, instructors, and children have all expressed their appreciation for the announcement. Students’ ability to focus is frequently hampered by the oppressive heat, which has a negative impact on their overall academic performance.
The decision to grant summer vacations gives students in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa the chance to take a well-earned rest, enjoy the festivities of the season, and reenergize for the challenges ahead.
