VEON CEO Kaan Terzioğlu emphasized Pakistan’s role as a strategic growth market for VEON, with Jazz leading digital adoption nationwide. Advocacy for Industry-Wide Reforms
The Jazz–VEON delegation reiterated their support for industry-wide reforms, stressing the need for fair spectrum pricing, timely allocations, and resolution of pending spectrum issues. They also discussed rationalized taxation, delinking telecom costs from dollar indexation, and simplified licensing regimes, all aimed at enabling a predictable, investment-friendly environment.
Progress on Right of Way (RoW) Reforms
The delegation commended the recent waiver of Right of Way (RoW) charges in Islamabad, calling it a progressive step toward fiberization and digital infrastructure expansion. They encouraged extending this reform nationwide to create a consistent RoW policy that accelerates Pakistan’s digital transformation.
