Information Technology sector is one the most important and emerging sector in Pakistan. Companies from Pakistan are showing their position to the world in a rightful manner. Pakistan is one of the top developing countries in IT sector and popularity is increasing day by day.
Moreover, Importance of Information technology can be estimated through by participation of Pakistani IT companies’ in GITEX 2021 and one of the tech startup won the supernova pitch competition at GITEX Future Stars, first Pakistani company ever.
After conducting the interview of IT Minister Syed Aminul Haque, TechX Pakistan also conducted the interview of Fawad Chaudhry – Federal Minster for Information and Broadcasting. Let’s see what are his views regarding information technology.
Our host questioned him about the participation of Pakistani companies in GITEX 2021. He said, “Companies who participated in GITEX 2021 are very few in numbers, Pakistan has a lot to share in an IT field to the world. “
Furthermore, he also said, “If you see, the most part of human resources of the tech giants is from Pakistan. If we take an example of Huawei in Middle East, more than 40% employees are from Pakistan but tech companies of Pakistan itself are not that much large enough what we are expecting.”
In addition, he also said, “In my point of view, our utmost focus must be on technology industry because Pakistan has the capacity to leapfrog in IT industry. We must get rid of our traditional ways and must apply technological advancements in our industries.”
Furthermore, he added, “We have youngsters who are well educated in IT and they are very good in their fields, we must utilize them as the human resource for different tech giants in the world so the foreign investors can invest in Pakistan by seeing such an amazing talent available in Pakistan.”
He also thanked UAE government for giving more job opportunities for Pakistani people. He stated, “UAE is the second home for Pakistani people who came here in a search of various jobs. We have very good and unprecedented relations with UAE on government level. We must take advantage of UAE’s initiative in Space Technology and participate with them for the future benefits of Pakistanis who are interested in this field.”
