According to a local news channel on Tuesday, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has detained former prime minister Imran Khan at the Islamabad High Court (IHC).

The PTI chairman Imran Khan had gone to the IHC to request bail in several FIRs filed against him when Rangers troops arrived and took him into the jail in the Al-Qadir Trust case. Police officers took the former prime minister away in a black VIGO.
Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Inspector General Pakistani Police (IGP) in Islamabad, verified the development and stated that things are under control.
The PTI chairman Imran Khan was reportedly arrested while attempting to get a biometric at the IHC, according to the news channel. Arrest warrants were in the hands of NAB officers.
Khan’s warrants were issued on May 1 by Nazir Ahmad Butt, the chairman of the NAB.
Khan was detained in accordance with the specifics of Section 9A of the National Accountability Ordinance 1999.
IHC Takes Notice of Imran Khan’s Arrest
The Islamabad IG and the interior secretary were summoned within “15 minutes” after Khan was arrested by the IHC Chief Justice Aamer Farooq, who took notice of the situation.
In addition, he ordered the second attorney general to find out right away who was responsible for the arrest and to appear before the court in 15 minutes.
“If an inquiry has to be conducted, action will also be taken against the prime minister and ministers,” the chief justice said. Justice Farooq further asked: “Tell us in which case the arrest was made?”
The Islamabad advocate general then asked the court to extend the time allotted for the hearing from 15 minutes to 30 minutes, but the plea was denied and he was told to appear in 15 minutes.
What Is Al-Qadir Trust Case?
The NAB is investigating the former prime minister, his wife Bushra Bibi, and other PTI figures in relation to a deal the PTI government made with a real estate mogul that reportedly cost the national exchequer 190 million pounds.
The National Crime Agency (NCA) of Britain reportedly sent the government Rs. 50 billion (190 million pounds at the time), according to the charges against Khan and the other suspects.
Additionally, they are charged with receiving illegal benefits in the form of more than 458 kanals of land in Mouza Bakrala, Sohawa, for the construction of Al Qadir University.
