Saqlain Mushtaq, a former Pakistani bowler and head coach, talked about how Haris Rauf.
He broke his record against Bangladesh in the first Super Four match of the Asia Cup 2023 on Wednesday at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
29 years old Haris Rauf
Haris, who is 29 years old, gave Bangladesh’s batters a hard time and bowled a great run of 19/4 in six overs.
In the process, he achieved a milestone and tied with the legendary Waqar Younis as the third-fastest Pakistani bowler to get 50 ODI wickets in 27 matches.
He is behind Shaheen Shah Afridi and Hasan Ali, who each took 50 ODI wickets in 25 and 24 games, respectively.
Mushtaq replied to Rauf’s achievement on his X account, which used to be called Twitter.
He said that records are made to be broken.
No doubt, records are meant to be broken. It gives me more satisfaction to see a fellow countryman topping the chart for the country. It takes a great amount of effort, hard work, focus, and dedication to achieve these feats. Well done, boys pic.twitter.com/uIEyEyRH6B

“There’s no question that marks are made to be broken. It makes me feel better when a person from my country is at the top of the charts for the country.
To do these things, you have to put in a lot of effort, work hard, attention, and time. Good job, guys,” Saqlain said on his X account.
Wednesday was the pacers’ day for Pakistan. Bangladesh was all out after 194 runs, which was less than 200, and they also set marks.
Naseem Shah New Record
Naseem Shah, a fast bowler from Pakistan, also set a new record after giving the away team a lot of problems.
The 20-year-old Naseem gave Pakistan a great start by sending Mehidy Hasan Miraz back to the pavilion on his first ball of the game.
Miraz had scored an important hundred in the match against Afghanistan.
The 20-year-old became the first Pakistani bowler to get a wicket in each of his first 13 ODIs.
He also became the Green Shirts bowler with the most wickets (32) in his first 13 ODIs. After him is Abdul Qadir, who is 27.
Bangladesh won the toss today and chose to bat first. For today’s important match, both teams made one change to their lineup.
Mohammad Nawaz was replaced by Faheem Ashraf for Pakistan, and Najmul Hossain Shanto was replaced by Litton Das for Bangladesh because he was hurt.
Pakistan and India won their spots in the Asia Cup Super 4 from Group A, while Bangladesh and Sri Lanka did the same from Group B.
