Organised by Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) and KAOUN International in affiliation with GITEX GLOBAL, the Asian debut of the world’s largest tech event is running at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore, from 23-25 April.

The APAC gaming sector, valued at US$107 billion (Inkwood Research), is the world’s largest and fastest-growing gaming market. AI is a key catalyst, alongside digital penetration and esports growth.

AI is transforming Asia’s financial services, driving efficiency, innovation, and customer-centric solutions. Boston Consulting Group predicts APAC’s financial wealth could rise by 30% by 2028, with GenAI boosting operations and client experiences.
Shayan Hazir, Chief Digital Officer, Asia (xHK) & MENAT, HSBC Singapore, said:
“We must embrace AI to redesign financial services. The human transformation—adapting to change—is key alongside blockchain, digital assets, and quantum computing.”
GenAI: A US$110 Billion Game-changer
IDC forecasts APAC AI & GenAI investments to hit US$110 billion by 2028. Experts debated whether AI is an unavoidable business transformation.
Patrick Tammer, Senior Investment Director at SCALE AI (Canada’s US$125M+ AI fund), stated:
“GenAI unlocked unstructured data for analytics, revolutionizing service sectors like consulting, marketing, and legal. AI agents will reshape business models in the next decade.”

Discussions also focused on sustainability, smart cities, and emerging tech integration.
Peter Kmec, Deputy PM of Slovakia (EU Recovery Plan & Knowledge Economy), emphasized:
