Fakhar Zaman has surpassed Babar Azam in the seventh edition of the Pakistan Super League by scoring six 50-plus runs. Fakhar Zaman continued his incredible form by smashing a half-century against Quetta Gladiators, breaking Babar Azam’s PSL record for most fifty-plus innings.
Fakhar Zaman has been in superb form for Lahore Qalandars in the seventh edition of the Pakistan Super League. In the seven innings of PSL 7, the explosive opener has five half-centuries and a century.
Fakhar Zaman’s fifth fifty against Quetta Gladiators gave him the most fifty-plus runs in a single edition of the Pakistan Super League, surpassing Babar Azam’s five fifties. In PSL 3, Karachi Kings captain set a new record.
Fakhar Zaman is the PSL 7’s leading run-scorer, with 469 runs at an average of 67. Fakhar Zaman, the tournament’s top scorer, is the current owner of Hanif Mohammad’s cap.
Following his half-century against Quetta Gladiators, the brisk batsman surpassed Islamabad United’s Luke Ronchi to become the PSL’s highest run-scorer in a single season. Luke Ronchi scored 435 runs in 11 matches of PSL 3.
Furthermore, Fakhar Zaman has moved up to third place on the list of most PSL runs. He has made 1,820 runs for Lahore Qalandars since his debut in 2017, trailing only Babar Azam’s 2,323 runs and Kamran Akmal’s 1,896 runs.
Fakhar Zaman’s outstanding performance in the Pakistan Super League 7 has helped Lahore Qalandars become only the second team to qualify for the playoffs.
