During the first two months of the current fiscal year 2022–23, Pakistan made $85.060 million by offering various travel services in other nations. According to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS), this is negative growth of 12.30 percent when compared to the $96.994 million worth of the same services offered during the same time of the previous fiscal year 2021–22.
Personal travel services saw a 12.66 percent decline during the reviewed month, falling from $96.784 million in July-August 2021 to $84.530 million in July-August 2022. The exports of these personal services saw a decrease in health-related spending of 32.73 percent, but a rise in education-related spending of 0.68 percent.
Additionally, there was a 12.75 percent decline in other personal services. According to the PBS statistics, business service exports increased by 152.38 percent, from $0.210 million to $0.530 million.
It is important to note that, compared to the same period last year, the exports of services from the nation increased by 4.63 percent during the first three months of the current fiscal year (2022-23).
Services exported from July through September 2022–23 totaled $1694.96 million, a 4.63 percent increase over the $1619.93 million exported from July through September 2021–22. The nation’s imports fell by 6.21 percent, from $2,497.28 million in 2017 to $2,342.31 million in the time period under consideration.
