Muhammad Atta Rabbani, Additional District and Sessions Judge, sentenced Zahir Jaffer to death after a 7-month hearing in the case of Noor Mukadam gruesome murder.
According to the details, the prime accused in the case has been sentenced to death, while two other accused individuals, Jamil and Iftikhar, the prime accused’s cook and security guard, have each been sentenced to ten years in prison.
Zahir was sentenced to death for kidnapping, imprisoning, and murdering Noor, as well as concealing murder and tampering with evidence. He was charged under Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) Sections 302, 109, 176, 201, 364, 342, 368, 511, 376, and 118.
Notably, Zahir Jaffer’s parents, Zakir Jaffer and Ismat Adamjee, as well as all other accused individuals, including Therapy Works employees, have been acquitted.
Last July, the entire nation was shocked to its core when Noor Mukadam, Pakistan’s former ambassador’s 28-year-old daughter, was brutally murdered in Islamabad.
Zahir Jaffer, the primary suspect in Noor’s murder, was apprehended at the scene. A pistol, a dagger, and other weapons used in the murder were also found. His parents, servants, and therapists were all charged with murder.
