On Monday, Anwaar ul Haq Kakar took the oath of office as interim prime minister of Pakistan.
At a ceremony held at Islamabad’s Aiwan-e-Sadr, the oath was given to him by President Dr. Arif Alvi.
President Arif Alvi later extended a handshake to the Caretaker Prime Minister and thanked him for taking office.
The eighth Caretaker Prime Minister of the nation is Anwaar ul Haq Kakar.
Oath Taking Ceremony of Interim PM Anwaar ul Haq Kakar
After political negotiations between the then-Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the then-Opposition Leader Raja Riaz, he was chosen as the Caretaker Prime Minister.
Former Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani, Speaker Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, and the governors of the four provinces were present for the Caretaker Prime Minister’s oath-taking ceremony.
Along with the Chief Ministers of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the DG ISI, Lt. General Nadeem Anjum, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, General Syed Asim Munir, the Chief of the Army Staff, Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi, the Chief of the Naval Staff, and representatives from other political parties were also present.
About Anwaar ul Haq Kakar
Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar is a native of the Balochistani region of Qilla Saifullah.
Before becoming a senator, he served as the Senate’s Standing Committee on Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development’s chairman, as well as a member of the Business Advisory Committee, Finance and Revenue, Foreign Affairs, and Science and Technology committees.
Before being elected to the Upper House, he previously served as the government of Balochistan’s spokesperson. Many people think highly of Anwar ul Haq Kakar’s intellect.
He graduated from the University of Balochistan with a master’s in political science and sociology.
