With effect from January 13, 2023, Faisal Yousaf, Director General IT-Operations at PITB, will also serve as Chairman of the Punjab IT Board.
He is a seasoned professional with more than 24 years of expertise to his credit.
For the Government of Punjab, Faisal Yousaf is recognized for launching cutting-edge technological innovations, some of which have since been copied by other provinces.
For many government ministries, including Finance, Law & Order, Health, Agriculture, and Labour & Human Resources, Faisal Yousaf led the digitalization of both the back office and front-end service delivery.
His most notable accomplishment was the creation and implementation of the fintech initiative, e-Pay Punjab, which was intended to digitalize the province’s financial environment.
It was the province’s first-ever payment aggregator and has since made it possible to collect more than PKR 135 billion in place of various government fees and taxes.
In a similar vein, the Dengue Tracking System he oversaw the implementation of it and has received praise from all across the world.
