A recent study conducted by the University of Kansas developed an Artificial detector capable of identifying AI-generated content in academic papers with 99% accuracy.
AI-generated content
This detector is designed specifically for academic writing and is one of the few tools on the market for this purpose.
The research team used ChatGPT to create 128 articles from 64 perspectives, which served as learning data for the detector.

The model correctly distinguished between human-created and Artificial Intelligent-generated articles with 100% accuracy, and it correctly identified specific paragraphs within the text with 92% accuracy.
It should be noted, however, that detectors have not proven to be completely infallible, as there have been cases where false accusations of cheating have been made.
Nonetheless, developing accurate detectors for academic writing is an important step toward addressing the issues associated with Intelligent-generated content.
