Banzan Ventures, a digital entertainment startup, has qualified to attend GITEX Africa in Morocco next month and Expand North Star in the UAE in October as part of the Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM).
GITEX Africa in Morocco
While the GITEX Africa event in Marrakech, from May 31 to June 2, will connect tech titans, governments, small and medium enterprises (SMEs), startups, coders, investors, and academia to explore new ventures, the Expand North Star in Dubai, from October 15-18, will present a new format for engagements with tech leaders, venture capitalists, unicorns, scale-ups, and key stakeholders.
Banzan Ventures of Kochi qualified for both events during a roadshow in the city conducted by Dubai World Trade Center, GITEX Africa, Dubai Chamber of Commerce, and GITEX Morocco. The organisers will cover the costs; the startup will only need to worry about the visa.
Banzan Ventures will compete in GITEX’s Supernova Challenge, the largest pitch competition in West Asia, Africa, and South Asia, in the hopes of becoming the next unicorn.
Banzan Ventures, which was launched in 2017, focuses on mobile games, online comics, and brand storytelling, as well as high-touchpoint enterprises ranging from education to retail, FMCG to consumer internet.
KSUM is the Kerala Government’s focal organisation for entrepreneurship development and incubation operations in the state.
The largest tech event on the continent, GITEX AFRICA, will bring together IT giants, governments, SMEs, start-ups, developers, investors, and academia to accelerate, collaborate, and explore new business opportunities. It will be held from 31st May till June 2nd at Marrakech, Morocco.
During the three-day annual pan-African summit in Marrakech, Morocco, a selection of emerging technologies, including fintech, e-commerce, cloud, IoT, AI, telecom, and cybersecurity, will be strongly featured.
The GITEX Africa will help to shape the vision for a more sustainable, inclusive, and technologically advanced digital economy by releasing the boundless potential of the world’s youngest continent.
