MINI Electric Pakistan is now a reality. BMW Group confirmed that its iconic British-born sub-brand has entered Pakistan for the first time, and it has done so with an all-electric lineup. Dewan Motors, the company that has imported BMW cars in Pakistan for over two decades, is the official partner behind this launch. This is not just a new car on the market. It is a clear signal that global carmakers now see Pakistan’s premium EV segment as worth entering.

Why MINI Chose to Enter Pakistan Now

MINI has been selling cars globally for years, but Pakistan was never part of the picture. That changed in early 2026. Dewan Motors, which has served as the official BMW importer in Pakistan for over 20 years, already had the relationships and the retail infrastructure to bring the brand in without starting from scratch.

The BMW Group officially confirmed the Pakistan entry as one of its two major 2026 milestones, describing the market as holding strong long-term potential in a rapidly changing premium mobility space. With Pakistan’s upper-income buyers showing growing interest in EVs and the government pushing for electrification, the timing made commercial sense for the brand.

Interestingly, while MINI sells petrol variants in many markets, the Pakistan showcase focused almost entirely on the electric family. This was a deliberate choice. Dewan is positioning MINI not as another imported saloon but as a lifestyle technology product for urban professionals.

The MINI Electric Pakistan Lineup at a Glance

Three models make up the local range, each targeting a slightly different kind of buyer.

MINI Cooper Electric

The Cooper Electric is the model that started the brand’s reputation. It keeps the classic three-door shape but replaces the petrol engine with an electric motor. The Cooper E variant uses a 40.7 kWh battery good for around 190 miles of range, while the more powerful Cooper SE steps up to a 54.2 kWh battery with a range of roughly 250 miles. The SE develops 218 PS and can reach 62 mph from a standstill in about 6.7 seconds. Both variants support DC fast charging up to 95 kW, meaning an 10-to-80 percent top-up in under 30 minutes. In Karachi or Lahore traffic, the Cooper Electric’s compact body and instant electric torque make it a practical daily driver.

MINI Aceman Electric

The Aceman is a brand-new nameplate for MINI globally. It sits between the Cooper hatchback and the larger Countryman in size, making it a compact electric crossover. The Aceman is fully electric and is aimed at city buyers who want a little more space and a more modern, forward-looking design. Inside, it features a circular OLED infotainment display and a clean, minimalist layout. For Pakistani buyers exploring electric crossovers for the first time, the Aceman offers a balanced mix of practicality and premium feel without going all the way up to a full-size SUV.

MINI Countryman Electric

The Countryman is the biggest car in the range and the one most likely to appeal to families. It rides on a dedicated electric platform shared with the BMW iX1 and iX2. The top-spec Countryman SE ALL4 comes with dual motors and all-wheel drive, producing around 308 horsepower with a 0-to-62 mph time of about 5.6 seconds. The 66.5 kWh battery offers a WLTP range of up to 286 miles in the AWD version. Boot space comes in at a generous 460 litres with seats up. For a Pakistani family that drives between Karachi, Islamabad or Lahore regularly, the Countryman Electric is the model that makes the most practical case.

Prices and How to Book

Booking for all three MINI Electric Pakistan models is open through authorised Dewan Motors dealerships in major cities. Customers need to pay a 10 percent down payment to secure an order. Indicative starting prices are around Rs 17.5 million for the Cooper E, rising to about Rs 19.2 million for the Cooper SE. One important detail most coverage has skipped: pricing is linked to the Euro, not a fixed rupee figure. The final amount you pay will depend on the exchange rate at the time of payment. With the rupee historically volatile against major currencies, buyers should factor in that risk when budgeting.

Deliveries are expected to begin in the second half of 2026, subject to production schedules and currency conditions.

A New Showroom Built for the Brand

The MINI Electric Pakistan launch came with another first. Dewan Motors opened a brand-new BMW and MINI showroom in Karachi, built to the BMW Group’s Retail.Next concept. This is a modern, customer-focused retail format that blends digital touchpoints with personal service. It is the first showroom of this type in Pakistan and gives buyers a branded experience closer to what you would find in Dubai or London. The showroom is designed to handle both sales and aftersales service, which matters a lot for EV buyers who want confidence in local technical support.

What This Launch Means for Pakistan’s EV Market

Most existing coverage of this story focuses on the car specs and prices. What it tends to miss is the broader signal this launch sends about Pakistan as an EV destination.

Global carmakers do not enter new markets unless they see commercial viability. The fact that MINI chose to debut in Pakistan with a fully electric lineup, rather than starting with petrol models as many brands do, shows genuine confidence in local EV demand growth. It also puts pressure on other premium importers to step up their electric offerings.

For everyday Pakistani car buyers who cannot yet afford these price points, the indirect benefit is real. As more premium EVs arrive, the public charging infrastructure conversation becomes harder to ignore. More competition at the top end also tends to push the whole market forward over time.

Pakistan’s government has been working to support EV adoption through its National Electric Vehicle Policy, and the arrival of a recognisable global brand like MINI adds weight to those efforts. Frequently Asked Questions

Is MINI a new brand or has it been in Pakistan before?

MINI Electric Pakistan marks the brand’s first-ever official entry into the country. While some grey-market MINI cars have existed here over the years, this is the first time MINI has launched with an official importer, a dedicated showroom and an aftersales network.

Who is selling MINI cars in Pakistan?

Dewan Motors is the official importer and distributor. The company has been the authorised BMW importer in Pakistan for over 20 years and is now handling the full MINI portfolio as well.

How much does the MINI Electric cost in Pakistan?

The Cooper E starts at around Rs 17.5 million. However, prices are tied to the Euro exchange rate, so the final rupee price is confirmed at the time of payment and can change with currency movements.

When will MINI Electric deliveries start in Pakistan?

Deliveries are expected to begin in the second half of 2026. Buyers can place a booking now at authorised Dewan Motors dealerships with a 10 percent deposit to secure their order.
