It is designed to reduce bias in issuing challans and ensure that violations are recorded accurately with supporting evidence. This digital system aims to improve compliance with traffic rules and enhance accountability.
Features of the One App
The app includes features such as video evidence for traffic violations on the spot verification of identity cards driving licenses stolen vehicles vehicle ownership fitness certificates and route permits. Citizens will also receive details of their traffic violations via QR codes making the process more convenient and verifiable.
Future Enhancements
Officials have stated that in future phases the system may introduce a point based system for drivers and allow for the registration of FIRs for certain traffic offences. This is intended to further strengthen traffic enforcement and encourage safe driving practices across Punjab.
Benefits for Citizens
The One App ensures that all traffic fines are backed by evidence and easily trackable. Citizens no longer need to worry about unfair or manual challans as the system provides a clear record of each violation. It also helps reduce congestion and enforce traffic rules more efficiently.

Through this initiative Maryam Nawaz and the Punjab government aim to bring digital transformation to traffic management. The app reflects the government’s commitment to road safety transparency and modernization of public services in Punjab.
