Key Meeting Held at Sindh Secretariat
A high-level meeting was convened at the Sindh Secretariat under the chairmanship of Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Sardar Muhammad Bakhsh Mahar. The other attendees of the meeting included senior officials of the ministry, including Sports Secretary Manzoor Ali Mahesar, Director Asad Ishaq, and Chief Engineer Muhammad Aslam Mahar. They reviewed the initial ideas regarding the Youth Card Scheme.
Focus on Youth Benefits
During this meeting, officials were also informed of the planned framework for Youth Card. Minister Mahar also directed the Sports Secretary to develop a detailed implementation mechanism, allowing for maximum benefits to young people in the province.
Launch Timeline Set Before June
Due to the special instructions of Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, it is expected that the Sindh Youth Card will be launched before June this year. This indicates the seriousness of the government in implementing the program and making it available for the youth as soon as possible.
What the Youth Card Will Offer
According to officials, the Youth Card hopes to offer the youth access to different opportunities ranging from education support, skills-building, job prospects, scholarships, monthly allowances, and sports facilities.
