Wear appropriate warm clothing including sweaters jackets scarves and gloves especially during nights and early mornings when temperatures are at their lowest. Protect children elderly people and those with respiratory conditions by minimizing exposure to cold air as prolonged exposure can increase health risks. When using heaters indoors ensure good ventilation to avoid the buildup of carbon monoxide and avoid using open flames in closed spaces. Dense fog reduces visibility significantly so when driving use fog lights correctly reduce your speed and maintain a safe distance. Avoid unnecessary travel during heavy fog. Keep living spaces warm and dry by using blankets and thermal bedding and drinking warm fluids to help maintain body warmth
