ISLAMABAD: JazzCash and Mobilink Bank have been announced as finalists for the prestigious Global Mobile (GLOMO) Awards 2025. These awards celebrate outstanding achievements in mobile and digital innovation and will be presented at the upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025.
JazzCash Shortlisted for Best Fintech Innovation
JazzCash has been nominated in the Best Fintech Innovation category for its Tap Pay for Business feature. This innovative solution enables over 360,000 merchants and businesses to accept payments from contactless cards or smartphones using NFC-enabled Android devices. Developed in collaboration with Mastercard, the service also allows JazzCash wallets to make direct tap payments using any contactless device.
Mobilink Bank Nominated for CMO Marketing Campaign
Mobilink Bank’s Invisible Heirs campaign has been shortlisted in the CMO Marketing Campaign category. The campaign focuses on raising awareness about women’s inheritance rights and provides practical tools, including Pakistan’s first digital inheritance calculator, accessible through the Mobilink Bank app. The initiative aims to empower women by helping them understand and secure their legal entitlements.

Previous International Recognition
Both companies have previously received international acclaim for their innovative efforts:
- Mobilink Bank’s Invisible Heirs campaign won the Digital Nations Video Creativity Award at GSMA’s M360 Asia-Pacific in 2024.
- JazzCash was awarded the Pioneering Telco to Launch Tap on Phone recognition by Mastercard in the same year.
- JazzCash also secured a GSMA GLOMO Award in 2017 for its contributions to promoting financial inclusion in emerging markets.
