The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has shaved a large amount of time off the processing times for resident visas and work permits.
UAE Work Permit
The processing times for work permit cancellations have also been accelerated, from three minutes to just forty-five seconds.
This enhancement is a part of the “Work Bundle” platform’s second phase.
Which attempts to make hiring and work permit renewal procedures easier for private enterprises and business owners.
The platform’s initial phase was introduced in March in Dubai and is currently being adopted in each of the seven emirates. The KT claims that the second phase will help over seven million workers and almost 600,000 firms.
UAE Government
Apart from shortening the duration of work permit cancellations, the UAE government has also expedited the visa and immigration processes.
Document processing for resident visas and work permits now takes five days instead of thirty.
The “Work Bundle” platform streamlines a number of services and was created to make work permits and residence requirements easier.
These include of providing new work permits, changing immigration status, granting work permits and visas, providing Emirates ID, granting residence, and providing medical examination services.
