PlushCare, an online health service, has released a new report ranking countries based on their average night’s sleep. The survey indicated that the majority of countries that don’t get enough sleep are Muslim countries, with the lowest sleep rates being in Qatar and Iran.
In order to determine what percentage of people in each country get between 7 and 9 hours of sleep every night, the report used data from Sleepcycle.com. This information was also compared with OECD’s data on annual working hours to determine each country’s sleep-to-work ratio.
Muslim majority countries are sleep deprived
Experts recommend that persons over the age of 18 get seven or more hours of sleep per night.

Don’t eat a big dinner right before bed.
Cut back on your nighttime coffee and alcohol consumption.
Make sure it’s dark and quiet in your bedroom, and put away any electronics at least an hour before you want to sleep.
If you’re having difficulties sleeping, get out of bed. Leave the room and go do something calming, like reading or meditation.
