Babar Azam has decided to leave the Karachi Kings before the PSL 8 draught. The star batter will play for Peshawar Zalmi in the upcoming PSL 8 season.
Babar Azam, the franchise’s star player and captain, is no longer a member of the team. Karachi Kings have confirmed that their captain will not be retained for the PSL 8 draught.
All-format captain has left Karachi Kings and joined Peshawar Zalmi ahead of the eighth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
With 2,413 runs in 68 matches, the prolific right-hander is the PSL’s all-time leading scorer.
During the previous season, the Kings, led by Azam, became the first team in PSL history to lose nine matches in a single season. Azam was traded by Kings to Peshawar Zalmi in exchange for veteran all-rounder Shoaib Malik.
On the other hand, he will not be available in the draught because he has already agreed to terms with Peshawar Zalmi.
According to the owner of Peshawar Zalmi Javed Afridi’s social media account, the star player will be wearing yellow in the upcoming season of the Pakistan Super League.
