According to details, this new feature was tested at the start of the current year. The new discussion group feature will help organizations, clubs, and many other groups communicate more effectively and efficiently.
WhatsApp recently announced and updated several features, including 32-person video and voice calls, emoji reactions, polls, larger file sharing, support groups of up to 1,024 users, end-to-end encryption, and the ability for administrators to delete messages.
Furthermore, following these new updates, people are drawing parallels between Facebook and WhatsApp because they both support sub-groups, file sharing, and admin functionality.
However, WhatsApp has distinct functionalities because it is limited to people you know in real life, as opposed to Facebook, where these groups are used by disconnected strangers.
Previously, the Meta-owned messaging platform WhatsApp introduced a slew of new features to enhance the user experience on its forum.
The new feature’s goal is to allow all WhatsApp users to join a call by simply clicking on a link. Zoom and other platforms have a similar feature.
WABetainfo said, “You can even select the call type (voice or video) when you create a link for a call, and when more than two persons join the call, the connection automatically becomes a group call.
Additionally, calls made utilising a link are still end-to-end encrypted, meaning that anyone who didn’t join the call cannot hear what is being spoken on it.”
