Microsoft for startups of Middle East has opened a second round of applications for its GrowthX Accelerator Program, and registrations for the next series of virtual conferences in the well-received Highway to 100 Unicorns virtual conference are also being accepted.
The Highway to 100 Unicorns and the GrowthX Accelerator are part of a larger strategic relationship between Microsoft and the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO). The programs have been replicated in other parts of the region, notably Pakistan, to help entrepreneurs grow.
The GrowthX Accelerator was announced in January 2021 and inaugurated in May of that year. The initiative brings together businesses with problems and startups with the ability to develop field-ready solutions. It provides commercial and technical resources and support to B2B tech firms, allowing them to accelerate their growth.
Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development, Mohamed Ali Al Shorafa, said, “Startups are the lifeblood of Abu Dhabi’s innovation ecosystem, bringing ingenuity, fresh ideas, and ambition to drive progress across all sectors.”
Furthermore he added, “The Abu Dhabi government is committed to supporting entrepreneurs and businesses through scale-up programs such as GrowthX Accelerator and Highway to 100 Unicorns.
The progression of these initiatives to their next phases signifies the success they have achieved in helping startups. We will continue on this journey to ensure innovators have access to all the tools and resources they need to make impactful change in Abu Dhabi.”
Highway to 100 Unicorns is a program that brings together professionals from around the world to solve difficulties encountered by early-stage entrepreneurs in the Middle East, Turkey, and Pakistan, as well as provide the knowledge they need to grow and scale their businesses.
Microsoft for Startups recently announced that the Highway to 100 Unicorns program will host another virtual conference series. Between January 24 and February 9, the virtual conference series will be broadcast live on LinkedIn and Microsoft Teams.
