NEPRA licensees will be able to provide online fee payment solution 24 hours a day, seven days a week through electronic banking channels such as ATMs, mobile banking apps, and internet banking in a secure environment.
NEPRA will be the first regulatory body to take a key step toward a digital bill payment solution as a result of this development.
Tauseef H. Farooqi, Chairman of the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA), and Najeeb Agrawalla, CEO of 1LINK, signed an agreement to make it easier for NEPRA licensees to provide online fee payment through the 1BILL platform.
Chairman Nepra Tauseef Farooqi expressed his gratitude for the work with 1LINK and described it as a significant step toward making business easier.
Najeed Agrawalla, CEO of 1LINK, praised NEPRA’s efforts to shift a regulatory authority from traditional to cutting-edge technology by embracing a digital payment platform provided by 1LINK.
Mr. Farooqi has over 27 Years of TechnoCommercial experience with specialization of managing the Commercial/Business side of IPP/IWPP Projects. He started his career with WAPDA in 1991 and has the distinguished honor of working on both Technical and Finance sides.
The agreement signing ceremony took place at 1LINK Karachi and was broadcast live to NEPRA Headquarters in Islamabad through video link.
