The number of cellular subscribers climbed from 189.26 million in November to 189.44 million in December 2023, according to data from the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA).
3G and 4G Users
The number of 3G and 4G users in Pakistan rose from 126.24 million at the end of November to 127.68 million at the end of December.
Next Generation Mobile Service
Cellular teledensity, however, fell from 78.98 percent at the end of November to 78.93 percent at the end of December. Total teledensity fell from 80.06 percent at the end of November to 80 percent by the end of December.
Next Generation Mobile Service (NGMS) penetration rose from 52.68 percent at the end of November to 53.2% by the end of December.
Jazz’s Overall Number
Jazz’s overall number of 3G users decreased from 3.569 million at the end of November to 3.492 million at the end of December.
Jazz 4G users grew from 42.754 million at the end of November to 43.867 million at the end of December.
Zong’s Subscribers
Zong’s 3G subscribers fell from 2.265 million at the end of November to 2.217 million at the end of December, while the number of 4G customers climbed from 33.869 million in November to 34.202 million in December.
Telenor’s Customers
Telenor’s 3G customers fell from 2.477 million at the end of November to 2.380 million at the end of December, while its 4G users climbed from 23.196 million at the end of November to 23.300 million at the end of December.
By the end of December, the number of Ufone 3G users had risen to 2.188 million from 2.230 million in November.
The number of 4G users on Ufone climbed from 14.349 million at the end of November to 14.484 million at the end of December.
