Zaka Ashraf has resigned as chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board‘s Management Committee. Zaka Ashraf has also stepped down from his position on the Board of Governors.

Zaka Ashraf, who joined the PCB’s Board of Governors in July 2023, took over as chairman of the Management Committee from Najam Sethi.
Zaka Ashraf expressed his commitment to improving cricket at a committee meeting, but cited obstacles to effective operation.
“I was working for the betterment of cricket but it is not possible for us to work in this way,” he said as per the people present at an ongoing committee meeting. Now it is up to Prime Minister, whomever he nominates,” Zaka said.
The resignation represents a significant shift in the PCB’s leadership, with fans hoping that the next nominee will continue the mission of advancing cricket in Pakistan.
