Huawei recently had a launch event in China where it unveiled a number of new wearables, including smartwatches.
Here are some specifics.
Huawei Watch Buds
Despite its moniker, the Huawei Watch Buds is a conventional wristwatch that also has a screen that slides open to show TWS earphones. The 1.43-inch AMOLED display on this watch has a 466 x 466px resolution. Both a black and a brown leather 22mm strap and stainless steel case are offered.
The wristwatch also offers SpO2 tracking, heart rate monitoring, and sleep and stress management. Additionally, it can scan for ECG readings and heart rate atrial fibrillation. There are 80 different training alternatives as well as a huge selection of watch faces.
For calls and music, the earphones incorporate AI noise cancellation. While the earbuds only weigh 4 grammes, the Watch Buds weigh 66.5g without the band. Despite the fact that the buds’ opening mechanism does not officially provide ingress protection, they are nevertheless IP54-rated. Also featured are BeiDou, GLONASS, and GPS location.
The HarmonyOS 3-powered Watch Buds have Bluetooth 5.2 connection. The watch’s battery life, according to Huawei, is three days. With noise suppression off, the wireless earbuds can make calls for 2.5 hours or play music for 4 hours. The earphones need 100 minutes to completely charge on the specialised magnetic charger.
The Huawei Watch Buds have already gone on sale in China for a price of $429. The product’s availability in other countries is still unknown.
