Xiaomi released the Outdoor Camera AW300 in its home market of China in September of last year. The company has now expanded the availability of the security camera to the global market, beginning with Europe.
Xiaomi’s Smart Camera
The Xiaomi Outdoor Camera AW300 is designed specifically for outdoor use and comes with a slew of security features.
It has two powerful white lights and two infrared lights, allowing for intelligent full-color night vision. When motion is detected, the camera activates the white lights automatically.
When the camera detects changes in the captured image or movement within the defined electronic fence area, it can send notifications to the user’s mobile phone. It can even detect the movement of electric vehicles and automobiles.
In the event of an intrusion within the electronically fenced area, the camera can sound an audible alarm and flash a high-frequency light, enhancing security.
The camera’s built-in high-power speakers and high-fidelity microphones allow for effective two-way audio communication. Its far-field pickup range of 7 meters enables real-time voice intercom.
Individuals can conveniently monitor multiple camera feeds simultaneously using the user-friendly MIJIA app, which supports up to four channels at once, providing expanded surveillance capabilities.
The Xiaomi Outdoor Camera AW300 is now available in France and Germany, with a starting price of €59.99. The price, however, will soon be reduced to €69.99.
