In its 5th Batch of Summit Program 2021, Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) and Ufone welcomed 150 top young talents from across Pakistan as Management Trainees (MTs).
The young graduates were chosen from top universities across Pakistan and honored at a special ceremony held at the PTCL headquarters in Islamabad.
Digital evaluation, psychometric and demanding online gaming exams, and competency-based interviews were all part of the candidates’ selection process.
Successful candidates were taken to Haripur’s Telecom Staff College for an orientation programme that included a month of knowledge-based and comprehensive classroom instruction and development.
Following the orientation, the MTs will receive five months of on-the-job training, which will give them the opportunity to learn from seasoned telecom industry specialists and will be an important component of their grooming, coaching, and mentoring process.
They will be exposed to a diverse culture and will have access to a large business canvas, ensuring their future grooming for careers inside both PTCL and Ufone.
Syed Mazhar Hussain, Group CHRO, PTCL & Ufone, remarked during the orientation programme, “Pakistan has the largest pool of most talented youth and we strongly believe in providing ample opportunities to nurture and promote our talent.”
Furthermore, he added, “We are committed to investing in enhancing their skill set and providing a platform for growth that will enable these graduates to unlock their true potential and gain business acumen, learn effective communication skills and become future leaders.”
As part of its progressive culture, the PTCL Group, as one of Pakistan’s major ICT service providers and a socially responsible corporation, continues to invest in the development of future leaders.
