Twitter introduced a new update to its DM search feature on Wednesday. The latest version will finally allow users to search for specific chats that contain a specific keywords.
Previously, users could only search for people’s names or the names of group chats using the platform’s DM search tool.
But now, if you want to look for a chat you had with a friend that contained a specific topic, you can simply type it into the search bar and presto! You’ll discover it there.
Of course, searching for a person’s or a conversation’s name still works, and you can choose whether to display results for persons, groups, or messages.
The new upgrade is much handier if the keyword you’re looking for is someone’s name.
Since the platform released the DM search tool to Android in May 2021, this adjustment has been long overdue.
Although the business appears to have missed that deadline by a hair’s breadth, the latest function is now available on all the platforms, as opposed to the initial search, which was exclusively available on iOS for over two years before the Twitter introduced it to Android.
