Toyota Indus Motor Company has announced an immediate revision in freight charges for delivering its vehicles across Pakistan. The company cited rising fuel prices and increasing transportation costs as the main reasons for this change. The new rates apply to all deliveries made through the company’s nationwide dealership network.
Reason for the Freight Revision
According to an official communication shared with dealerships, higher fuel costs are significantly affecting the transportation of vehicles from the company’s manufacturing facility in Karachi to dealerships located in different parts of the country. The updated freight charges are intended to help the company cover these additional transportation expenses.
Retail Prices Remain Unchanged
IMC clarified that the ex-factory Karachi retail selling prices (RSP) of its vehicles remain unchanged. However, since freight costs are included in the dealership invoice at the time of delivery, the final amount paid by customers will increase depending on the distance between Karachi and their city.
Impact on Customers Across Pakistan
The revised delivery charges will have varying effects across different regions. Customers in cities farther from Karachi, such as those in northern Pakistan, are likely to see a more noticeable increase in the final delivery cost. Buyers in southern parts of the country may notice only minor changes.
Nationwide Applicability
The updated freight policy is applicable to all Toyota vehicles nationwide, including “Good to Go” full payment orders recorded in the IMC system. Customers are required to submit full payment NCS by March 17, 2026, to ensure that the updated charges are applied correctly.
Company Statement on Rising Costs
IMC emphasized that the revision reflects the rising cost of vehicle transportation due to fluctuating fuel prices and operational expenses. The company stated that it will continue to monitor fuel trends and overall operating costs to ensure pricing remains fair for customers.
Customer Awareness and Planning
Toyota advises customers planning to purchase vehicles to factor in the revised freight charges while budgeting. Being aware of the updated delivery costs will help avoid surprises at the dealership and allow smoother transactions across all regions of Pakistan.
