Toyota has revealed the all-new Toyota Tacoma 2024, a mid-size pickup truck designed for epic adventures.
Supersonic Red, Blue Crush Metallic, Underground, Wind Chill Pearl, Solar Octane, Celestial Silver Metallic, Black, Ice Cap, and Bronze Oxide are the nine captivating colors available for the pickup truck.
After nearly two decades of dominance, the Tacoma enters its fourth generation with exciting upgrades and a focus on epic off-road adventures.
2024 Toyota Tacoma
The redesigned Tacoma is built on the TNGA-F global truck platform and features a high-strength boxed steel ladder frame, advanced off-road features, and two powerful turbocharged four-cylinder powertrains, including the top-of-the-line i-FORCE MAX hybrid variant.
In addition, the Tacoma introduces the Trailhunter grade, a purpose-built off-road vehicle available directly from the dealer lot.
The 2024 Tacoma has been completely redesigned to meet market demands while still providing exceptional off-road performance.
The Tacoma has a new high-strength boxed steel-ladder frame and a completely redesigned multi-link coil rear suspension, which improves ride and handling.
Performance
The turbocharged four-cylinder powertrains deliver impressive performance, including the i-FORCE MAX hybrid variant, which generates 326 horsepower and 465 lb.-ft. of torque.
Furthermore, the all-new Trailhunter grade, first revealed at the 2022 SEMA show, caters to overlanding enthusiasts looking for an adventure-ready truck right out of the showroom.
The all-new Tacoma’s design is inspired by Toyota’s Baja race trucks and captures the spirit of rugged outdoor fun.
The Tacoma embodies the iconic “Tacoma-ness” that defines its unique character with its slim body, wide upper grille, aggressive skid plates, high-mount headlamps, and integrated spoilers.
The CALTY Design Center led the efforts to ensure the Tacoma’s authentic and athletic stance, in collaboration with Toyota’s North American-based design teams.
Toyota Technical Center engineering teams went to great lengths to improve the Tacoma’s off-road capability and durability.
The fourth-generation Tacoma is designed to conquer a wide range of environments, from extreme rock crawling to high-speed desert racing.
The new Tacoma is built on the TNGA-F global truck platform, which provides increased rigidity and weight savings through the use of high-strength steel and aluminum.
The multi-link rear suspension, improved braking performance, and electric power steering all help to improve ride and handling.
Interior Functions
The Tacoma is ready for any adventure, thanks to its maximum towing capacity of 6,500 lbs. and increased payload.
The 2024 Tacoma has a number of advanced features that will make every journey more convenient and enjoyable.
The Tacoma provides exceptional towing and visibility support, with features such as a trailer brake controller and trailer backup guide, as well as a digital display mirror and 360-degree cameras.
The bed volume has grown by 7%, and the aluminum tailgate now has power open and close functionality. In the bed and cabin, there are several power outlets, including an AC inverter.
The Trailhunter edition even includes a built-in high-output air compressor for quick tire inflation after airing down. The 2024 Tacoma is available with two powerful and efficient turbocharged four-cylinder engines.
The 2.4-liter engine in the entry-level SR grades produces 228 horsepower and 243 lb.-ft. of torque. The output increases to 278 horsepower and 317 lb-ft for all other grades.-
Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, an advanced suite of active safety and convenience systems, is now standard on the highly anticipated 2024 Tacoma models.
Toyota Safety Sense’s latest version includes several enhancements and makes use of improved system sensors for improved detection capabilities. The suite contains a number of impressive features aimed at keeping drivers and pedestrians safe on the road.
In addition to pedestrians and bicyclists, the Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection now detects motorcyclists.
Lane Departure Alert has been improved with Steering Assist and improved lane recognition, which now detects 3D objects such as guardrails.
Dynamic Radar Cruise Control supports Full-Speed Range and adds a fourth following distance setting, allowing for smoother speed adjustments and detection of multiple preceding and adjacent lane vehicles.
Lane Tracing Assist works in tandem with Dynamic Radar Cruise Control to provide lane centering and increased space between vehicles in adjacent lanes.
The Emergency Driving Stop System, which monitors driver inputs and can bring the vehicle to a stop in the event of inattention or a medical emergency, adds to the Tacoma’s safety features.
The 2024 Tacoma also features Road Sign Assist, which detects and displays various signs such as speed limits, stop signs, and warning signs on the Multi-Information Display.
Furthermore, the Tacoma has available features such as Blind Spot Monitor (BSM), which warns drivers of vehicles in adjacent lanes, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), which assists drivers when backing out by detecting approaching vehicles from either side. HAC (Hill Start Assist Control) is standard, ensuring a smooth start on inclines.
