This Quaid Day, Islamabad’s Fatima Jinnah Park featured an award-winning campaign advocating tolerance, diversity, and interfaith harmony in line with Pakistan’s founder, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s vision and teachings.
Hive Pakistan, a social impact group that works to combat extremism and marginalization in Pakistan, hosted the event ‘Meet Jinnah,’ in which a life-size hologram of the Quaid-e-Azam spoke on the values that should govern social life in the emergent country.
For the said event, Mobilink Microfinance Bank Limited (MMBL) was a supporting partner with Hive Pakistan. Through capacity building and access to finance for all Pakistanis, MMBL is working to promote financial and digital inclusion in Pakistan.
On this Quaid Day, which also happens to be Christmas, thousands of people gathered to witness the technological marvel and to be inspired, reaffirming the importance of mutual acceptance and peaceful coexistence.
Before arriving in Islamabad, Hive Pakistan’s innovative idea was displayed in a number of places. Visitors praised the project, which has previously earned the coveted Nelson Mandela-Graça Machel Innovation Award for its successful campaign for equality in the country.
“We congratulate Hive Pakistan for successfully executing this innovative project,” Syed Aizaz Zaidi, Chief Risk Officer at MMBL said on the occasion. “The father of our nation had a clear vision of what he fought for most of his life to achieve – a unified, safe, empathetic, and inclusive Pakistan,” he added.
“These ideals are deeply entrenched in our organization’s core philosophy – fueling our struggle to promote inclusivity, as well as equitable growth and development for every Pakistani citizen through access to finance and ground-breaking digital financial solutions,” he further stated.
The initiative successfully demonstrates the power of digital technology to drive positive social change, while also underlining the importance of returning to our founding father’s visionary advice in order to resurface as a prosperous nation.
