The TChowk Flyover also known as the Iqbal Flyover is a landmark infrastructure project located at TChowk on Islamabad Expressway. It is a key junction connecting Islamabad and Rawalpindi with GT Road. Executed by the Capital Development Authority CDA the flyover aims to reduce traffic congestion and provide a signal free corridor for daily commuters and commercial vehicles.
Foundation & Execution
The foundation stone of the flyover was laid on 12 September 2025 by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif marking the official start of construction. The design and consultancy were provided by NESPAK ensuring modern engineering standards and long term durability. The project was originally planned for 150 days but the construction was completed efficiently in approximately 77 days.
Specifications & Cost
The flyover spans 1.03 kilometers in length and includes a dual carriageway additional at grade lanes and U turn facilities to ensure smooth traffic flow. Built without any additional land acquisition the project cost is Rs 1.4 Billion financed entirely by the CDA. The structure incorporates modern safety standards to benefit both motorists and pedestrians.

The TChowk Flyover addresses one of the busiest junctions in Islamabad significantly reducing travel time minimizing congestion and enhancing commuter safety.
