The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) will be closed to the public on July 3 (Monday) due to a bank holiday, according to a notification issued on Monday.
State Bank will be close
“All banks/DFIs/MFBs shall, therefore, remain closed for public dealing on the aforementioned date. However, employees of the banks/DFIs/MFBs will attend the office as usual,” it added.
The holiday is due to the start of the new fiscal year on July 1 (Saturday), but Eid ul Adha’s third day will be celebrated on that day.
The holiday has now been moved to July 3, but banks/DFLs/MFBs will remain closed to the public but not to their employees on this day.
The government had previously declared a four-day holiday in honor of Eid. Banks will be closed from June 28 to 30.
As a result, all commercial banks in the country will be closed on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
