Due to the recent record-high petrol prices (now at Rs. 458.41/L), the Sindh government is providing a cash shield for motorcycle owners.
-
The Amount: Each eligible person will receive Rs. 2,000 per month.
-
The Logic: This is calculated as a Rs. 100 per liter discount on a monthly quota of 20 liters.
-
The Method: Unlike past programs, this is a Direct Cash Transfer to your bank account, not a discount at the petrol pump.
Essential Eligibility Criteria
To get this money, you must meet two “Hard Rules” set by the CM:
-
Registration: The motorcycle Must be officially registered in the Excise Department records under your CNIC.
-
Bank Account: You must have an active bank account with an IBAN (International Bank Account Number) to receive the digital transfer.
How to Register (The Step-by-Step Process)
The government is moving toward a 100% digital system to avoid long queues and corruption.
-
Step 1 (The App): The Sindh Excise Department will launch a dedicated “Sindh Fuel Subsidy App” in the next few days.
-
Step 2 (The Data): You will open the app and enter your 13-digit CNIC.
-
Step 3 (Verification): The app is linked to the NADRA and Excise databases. It will instantly check if a motorcycle is registered to your CNIC.
-
Step 4 (Bank Details): You will be asked to enter your IBAN. Make sure the bank account title matches your CNIC name.
Free Transfer Opportunity (15-Day Window)
Many people in Sindh ride open letter bikes or vehicles registered to previous owners. Under current rules, these riders will Not get the subsidy.
-
The Solution: CM Murad Ali Shah has abolished all motorcycle transfer fees.
-
The Action: You have roughly 15 days to go to the Excise office and transfer the bike to your name for free.
-
The Goal: Do this immediately so that when the app launches, the system recognizes you as the legal owner.
Payment Timeline and Distribution
-
Verification Period: Once you apply on the app, the government will take about 7 to 10 days to verify your data.
-
First Installment: The first Rs. 2,000 payment is expected to hit verified bank accounts between April 15 and April 20, 2026.
-
Future Payments: This will be a recurring monthly transfer as long as the subsidy program remains active.
Important Warnings to Avoid Rejection
-
One Bike Per CNIC: Usually, these subsidies are limited to one vehicle per household/CNIC.
-
Deadlines: If you don’t transfer the bike to your name within the 15-day free window, you will have to pay the full transfer fee later and will miss the first payment.
-
Fake Apps: Only download the app from the official Sindh Government website or the link provided by the Excise Department.
